Article 1 – Accepted payment methods

1.1 Payment cards

The jalaero.com website accepts payments using the following payment cards:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard

Debit and credit cards are accepted. Prepaid cards and virtual cards may be used provided that they are compatible with our payment system.

1.2 Other payment methods

At present, only Visa and Mastercard payment cards are accepted. Other payment methods may be added at a later date.

Not accepted: cheques, bank transfers, cash, money orders, American Express and PayPal.

Article 2 – Transaction security

2.1 Secure protocol

All transactions carried out on jalaero.com are secured using the SSL/TLS protocol. This protocol encrypts payment information during transmission.

The security of the connection can be verified by the padlock displayed in the browser address bar and by the URL beginning with “https://”.

2.2 Payment service provider

Payments are securely processed by Monetico, an authorised payment service provider. At no time are the buyer’s full payment card details transmitted through JALAERO’s servers or stored by JALAERO.

2.3 3D Secure authentication

To enhance payment security, the Website may use the 3D Secure protocol. During payment, the buyer may be redirected to their bank’s interface for additional authentication, such as an SMS code, a notification through their banking application or biometric verification.

This step may be mandatory depending on the buyer’s bank, the amount of the transaction or the applicable security requirements.

2.4 Confidentiality

Payment card information is transmitted directly to Monetico through a secure connection. JALAERO never has access to the full payment card number, its expiry date or its security code.

Article 3 – Currency and billing

3.1 Currency

All prices displayed on the Website are stated in euros. Payments are made exclusively in euros.

3.2 Exchange rates

If the buyer’s payment card is denominated in a currency other than the euro, the exchange rate applied will be determined by their banking institution at the time the payment is charged. Currency conversion fees may be charged by the buyer’s bank. These fees are not determined by JALAERO and remain the responsibility of the buyer.

Article 4 – When your card is charged

The payment card is charged when the order is finally confirmed.

Once payment has been approved, the buyer receives a confirmation email summarising the details of their order. The order then enters the preparation process.

Reminder: For perfumes, cosmetics, skincare products and scented repellents, products that have been opened, unsealed, used or tested cannot be returned for hygiene and health protection reasons, unless a lack of conformity has been established.

Article 5 – Payment failure

5.1 Possible causes

A payment may fail for various reasons:

  • Insufficient funds in the account
  • Payment limit reached
  • Expired or blocked card
  • Failed 3D Secure authentication
  • Card payment blocked by the bank or suspected fraud
  • Incorrect information entered
  • Temporary technical issue

5.2 In the event of payment failure

If the payment fails, the order is not confirmed. No product is permanently reserved until the payment has been accepted.

The buyer may attempt the payment again or use another payment card. If the problem persists, the buyer should contact their bank to check the status of the card, the applicable payment limits and any security restrictions.

Article 6 – Fraud prevention

6.1 Verification procedures

To ensure transaction security, JALAERO reserves the right to carry out additional checks on certain orders, particularly in the following circumstances:

  • A high-value first order
  • A delivery address that differs from the billing address
  • Delivery to a country other than the country in which the card was issued
  • Multiple orders placed within a short period
  • An order presenting unusual characteristics
  • Suspected fraudulent use of a payment method

6.2 Request for supporting documents

As part of these checks, JALAERO may request additional documents, such as proof of identity, proof of address or any other document required to secure the transaction.

This information is processed confidentially and solely for the purpose of verifying the order.

6.3 Refusal or cancellation

JALAERO reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of suspected fraud, fraudulent use of a payment method, failure to provide the requested supporting documents or an inability to verify the information required to secure the transaction.

Article 7 – Invoicing

7.1 Electronic invoice

An electronic invoice is generated for each confirmed order. It may be available through the customer account when this feature is available, or sent by email upon request to customer service.

7.2 Invoice content

The invoice includes the legally required information, including the identification of the seller, details of the products ordered, unit prices, the total amount, applicable VAT where relevant, delivery charges and the buyer’s contact details.

Reminder: The invoice must be retained by the buyer. It may be required in the event of a complaint, warranty claim, delivery error or any verification relating to the order.
