Article 1 – Shipping destinations

“`

1.1 Worldwide shipping

JALAERO ships aircraft parts, components, equipment and accessories worldwide, subject to applicable laws, export controls, international sanctions, carrier availability and customs requirements.

1.2 Restricted destinations

JALAERO does not ship to countries, territories, regions, individuals, companies or organisations affected by an applicable embargo, trade restriction or international sanction in force on the date of the order.

A shipment may also be refused when the export, sale, supply, transfer, transit or delivery of the product is prohibited or restricted because of:

  • The destination country or territory
  • The identity of the purchaser, consignee, end user or beneficial owner
  • The intended end use of the product
  • The classification or technical characteristics of the product
  • The aircraft, operator, organisation or activity for which the product is intended
  • Military, defence, dual-use or restricted applications
  • A restriction imposed by a carrier, insurer, customs authority or competent government authority

1.3 Verification before shipment

Acceptance of an order or receipt of payment does not constitute final confirmation that shipment is legally authorised.

JALAERO may perform compliance checks before dispatch and may request information or documents relating to the customer, consignee, end user, aircraft, operator, destination and intended use of the product.

1.4 Cancellation of a restricted order

If an order cannot legally or operationally be shipped, JALAERO may suspend or cancel the order.

Where an order is cancelled before dispatch, the sums paid for the affected products will be refunded using the original payment method, except for any non-refundable costs already incurred at the customer’s express request where permitted by law.

1.5 Delivery address

The customer must provide a complete, accurate and deliverable address together with the recipient’s full name, company name where applicable, telephone number, email address and any information required for customs clearance.

JALAERO may refuse delivery to a post office box, forwarding address, unidentified intermediary or location that does not allow the identity of the consignee and end user to be verified.

“`

Article 2 – Shipping methods and costs

“`

2.1 Shipping method

The shipping method is selected according to the destination, dimensions, weight, value, sensitivity and regulatory classification of the product.

Depending on the order, shipment may be made by postal service, express courier, freight forwarder, air freight or another suitable transport service.

Shipping method Destination Cost Estimated dispatch time
Standard, express or freight shipping Worldwide, subject to applicable restrictions Calculated according to the order or stated in the quotation Stated in the quotation or order confirmation

2.2 Shipping costs

Shipping costs depend on the destination, parcel dimensions, weight, declared value, insurance requirements, delivery service and any special handling or regulatory requirements.

The applicable shipping cost is displayed during the ordering process, included in the quotation or communicated to the customer before the order is confirmed.

2.3 Insurance

JALAERO may require transport insurance for high-value, fragile, serialised, certified or safety-sensitive parts.

The cost of insurance may be included in the shipping charge or stated separately in the quotation.

2.4 Special transport requirements

Additional costs may apply to batteries, pressurised items, magnetised materials, chemicals, fluids, oversized parts, temperature-sensitive products or any goods subject to dangerous-goods or special-handling rules.

2.5 Delivery to the stated address

Products are delivered to the address confirmed by the customer. Delivery conditions may vary depending on the carrier and destination country.

A signature, identity check, company stamp or proof of authority to receive the goods may be required.

“`

Article 3 – Dispatch and delivery times

“`

3.1 Dispatch time

The estimated dispatch time is stated in the quotation, payment link, product description or order confirmation.

Dispatch takes place after payment has been confirmed and after completion of any required compliance, identity, export-control and documentation checks.

3.2 Stock availability

Products described as available may still require inspection, identification, documentation verification, protective packaging or preparation before dispatch.

Special-order, sourced, repaired, inspected, certified or customised products may require additional preparation time.

3.3 Delivery time

The total delivery time includes order preparation, compliance verification, dispatch, carrier transit, export customs clearance and import customs clearance.

Delivery times vary according to the destination, carrier, customs procedures, local regulations, public holidays, weather conditions, transport disruptions and other circumstances outside JALAERO’s reasonable control.

Important: Unless expressly confirmed in writing as a guaranteed contractual deadline, dispatch and delivery times are estimates only.

3.4 Urgent aircraft-on-ground orders

Any request identified as urgent or aircraft-on-ground must be expressly accepted in writing by JALAERO.

The use of an urgent shipping service does not guarantee a delivery time where delays result from customs, export-control procedures, carrier operations or circumstances outside JALAERO’s control.

“`

Article 4 – Shipment tracking

“`

4.1 Dispatch confirmation

When the order is dispatched, the customer receives a dispatch confirmation by email where technically available.

This confirmation may include:

  • The dispatch date
  • The carrier’s name
  • The tracking number
  • A link to the carrier’s tracking service
  • The number of parcels
  • Any available customs or transport information

4.2 Online tracking

Where tracking is available, the customer may monitor the shipment through the carrier’s website using the tracking number provided.

4.3 Address changes

No change to the delivery address is guaranteed after the order has been confirmed.

Once a shipment has been dispatched, JALAERO may be unable to amend the address, consignee or destination.

Any carrier charge resulting from a requested change, redirection, correction or new delivery attempt may be charged to the customer.

“`

Article 5 – Customs and export controls

“`

5.1 Customs formalities

International shipments may be subject to export declarations, import declarations, inspections, licences, certificates, taxes, duties, brokerage charges and other customs formalities.

The customer must provide all information and documents reasonably required for shipment and customs clearance.

5.2 Import duties and taxes

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the quotation or order confirmation, import duties, local taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees and other charges imposed in the destination country are payable by the customer.

These charges are not controlled by JALAERO and may be collected by the carrier, customs authority, broker or another authorised intermediary before or after delivery.

5.3 Export-control classification

Certain aircraft parts, avionics, navigation equipment, electronic components, software, technical data or related products may be subject to export controls or classified as dual-use goods.

Where required, dispatch will only take place after the necessary licence, authorisation or administrative approval has been obtained.

5.4 End-user and end-use information

JALAERO may require the customer to provide:

  • The identity and address of the final consignee
  • The identity of the final end user
  • The aircraft registration or serial number where relevant
  • The aircraft operator or maintenance organisation
  • The intended civilian or professional use
  • An end-user statement or end-use certificate
  • Confirmation that the product will not be diverted, resold or re-exported unlawfully

5.5 Refusal to provide information

JALAERO may suspend or cancel an order if the required compliance information is incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent or not provided.

5.6 Changes in regulations

The applicable sanctions, embargoes and export-control rules are those in force when the order is reviewed and when the shipment is dispatched.

If a legal restriction enters into force after the order has been placed but before dispatch, JALAERO may suspend or cancel the shipment in order to comply with the applicable regulation.

“`

Article 6 – Receipt and delivery issues

“`

6.1 Inspection upon delivery

Upon receipt, the customer must inspect the external condition of the shipment and verify the apparent conformity of the products and documentation received.

The customer should:

  1. Check that the parcel, crate or container is not open, crushed, pierced, wet or severely damaged
  2. Check the condition of seals, shock indicators and tilt indicators where present
  3. Check the number of parcels received
  4. Check the product description, quantity, part number and serial number where applicable
  5. Check the presence of the supplied certificates, tags and traceability documents
  6. Photograph the external and internal packaging before removing the product if damage is suspected
  7. Retain all packaging and documents until the inspection is complete

6.2 Reservations to the carrier

If visible damage, missing parcels or signs of tampering are identified, the customer should record precise written reservations with the carrier before accepting the shipment whenever possible.

6.3 Damaged shipment

If a shipment arrives damaged, the customer must contact JALAERO as soon as reasonably possible.

The claim should include:

  • The order or invoice number
  • The tracking number
  • A description of the damage
  • Photographs of the external packaging
  • Photographs of the internal packaging
  • Photographs of the affected product
  • Photographs of the product label, part number and serial number
  • A copy of any reservation or damage report issued by the carrier

6.4 Shipment marked as delivered but not received

If the tracking information shows that a shipment was delivered but the customer has not received it, the customer must promptly contact JALAERO so that an investigation can be opened with the carrier.

6.5 Lost shipment

Where a shipment may have been lost, JALAERO may open a carrier investigation. Any replacement or refund will be processed according to the outcome of the investigation and the customer’s applicable statutory rights.

6.6 Incorrect product

If the customer receives a product different from the product ordered, the customer must not install, power, test, modify or use it.

The customer must contact JALAERO and provide photographs showing the product, packaging, part number, serial number and accompanying documents.

6.7 Incorrect or incomplete address

JALAERO cannot be held responsible for a delivery failure caused by an incorrect, incomplete or undeliverable address supplied by the customer.

Additional storage, correction, return and reshipment charges may be charged to the customer.

6.8 Unclaimed shipment

If the consignee fails to collect or accept the shipment within the period set by the carrier or customs authority, the goods may be returned, stored, abandoned or destroyed in accordance with the carrier’s and authorities’ procedures.

Any resulting storage, customs, return or reshipment costs may be charged to the customer where legally permitted.

“`

Article 7 – Return policy

“`

7.1 Aircraft parts and equipment

Returned aircraft parts must remain in the same condition, configuration and documentary status as when they were delivered.

The customer must preserve:

  • The product’s part number and serial number
  • Identification plates and manufacturer labels
  • Security seals and protective devices
  • Original packaging where available
  • Release certificates and certificates of conformity where supplied
  • Inspection tags and traceability documents
  • Accessories, manuals and accompanying components

7.2 Products eligible for return

A product may be eligible for return where:

  • A consumer validly exercises an applicable statutory right of withdrawal
  • The product does not conform to the order
  • The product was damaged before or during delivery
  • JALAERO supplied the wrong product
  • A statutory lack of conformity has been established
  • JALAERO has expressly authorised a commercial return

7.3 New and used products

The fact that a product is described as used, pre-owned, surplus, new old stock, repaired, overhauled or serviceable does not by itself prevent a consumer from exercising any mandatory statutory right that applies to the transaction.

The condition, history, documentation and certification expressly stated in the quotation or product description form part of the product’s agreed characteristics.

7.4 Products that may be refused

Subject to mandatory consumer rights, a return may be refused or a deduction may be applied where the product has been:

  • Installed or subjected to an attempted installation
  • Powered, energised, operated or functionally tested
  • Disassembled, opened, repaired, modified, programmed or recalibrated
  • Damaged, contaminated, corroded or improperly stored
  • Returned with a different part number or serial number
  • Returned without the documentation originally supplied
  • Returned with altered, damaged or separated certificates or traceability records
  • Returned incomplete or without its accessories and protective elements
  • Permanently incorporated into another assembly or system

7.5 Custom and special orders

Products manufactured according to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised may be excluded from the statutory consumer right of withdrawal where the applicable law provides for that exclusion.

For business customers, special-procurement, non-stock, customised or specifically sourced products may be non-cancellable and non-returnable where this was stated in the quotation or agreed before the order was confirmed.

7.6 Compatibility

The customer must verify the exact part number, dash number, modification status, serial-number requirements, aircraft applicability and required documentation before ordering.

An ordering error does not remove any mandatory statutory right available to a consumer. Returns requested by business customers because of an incorrect reference selection remain subject to JALAERO’s prior written approval.

“`

Article 8 – Return procedure

“`

8.1 Prior return request

The customer must contact JALAERO before returning an aircraft part so that the shipment can be identified, documented and handled safely.

A consumer’s statutory withdrawal notification remains valid when it is submitted within the applicable legal period, even if the return authorisation number is issued later.

The return request should include:

  1. The order or invoice number
  2. The reason for the return
  3. The product description
  4. The part number or P/N
  5. The serial number or S/N where applicable
  6. The quantity concerned
  7. Photographs of the product, identification labels, documentation and packaging

8.2 Return Material Authorisation

If the return is authorised or acknowledged, JALAERO may issue a Return Material Authorisation number and provide return instructions.

The instructions may include:

  • The return address
  • The Return Material Authorisation number
  • Packaging and protection requirements
  • Dangerous-goods instructions where applicable
  • The documents to include with the shipment
  • Customs instructions for an international return

8.3 Return shipment

The customer must use packaging appropriate to the weight, dimensions, value, fragility and technical characteristics of the product.

Electronic and avionics equipment must be protected against electrostatic discharge where required. Openings, connectors, threads and sensitive surfaces must be adequately capped and protected.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, except where the return results from an error attributable to JALAERO, a product damaged before delivery, an established lack of conformity or another case in which applicable law requires JALAERO to bear the cost.

A tracked and insured shipping service is strongly recommended. The customer remains responsible for appropriate packaging and for retaining proof of dispatch.

8.4 Customs documents for returns

For an international return, the customer must follow the customs instructions provided by JALAERO and clearly identify the shipment as returned goods where legally appropriate.

Incorrect or incomplete customs documentation may cause delays, duties, taxes, storage charges or refusal of the shipment. Costs resulting from information supplied incorrectly by the customer may be deducted from the refund where legally permitted.

8.5 Inspection of the returned product

Upon receipt, JALAERO will verify the product’s identity, part number, serial number, condition, packaging, accessories, documents and traceability.

Evidence of installation, operation, testing, modification, contamination, document alteration or missing components may affect the acceptance or value of the return, subject to mandatory statutory rights.

8.6 Refund

Where a consumer validly exercises an applicable statutory right of withdrawal, the refund is processed within the legally required period.

JALAERO may withhold the refund until the product has been received or until the customer provides evidence of dispatch, whichever occurs first, where permitted by applicable law.

The refund is made using the same payment method as the original transaction unless another method is expressly agreed.

Business-to-business returns may be subject to the inspection, recertification, testing, administration, transport or restocking conditions stated in the applicable quotation or sales agreement.
